Blessings and prayers for sweet Simba and you and your family....and soooo many tiny (and big) hearts from the Universe. Your prayer painting is gorgeous and I am grateful to see your process... and know that you turned to Art.
It is so terrifying when our fur babies get sick. I just went through a scare a couple of months ago with my almost 14 year old cat. Her glucose spiked over 600 and it took two days to get it regulated to a safe range. On top of that she's had a chronic ear infections that have been difficult to get under control.
Thinking of you and Simba, holding you in my thoughts and sending you both so much love.
It is absolutely terrifying! Hope your cat is doing better now. How are you dealing with her ear infection? Simba hates having his ears cleaned, he puts up such a big fight whenever anyone goes anywhere near his ears!
She is better, well her diabetes is. The ears did well for a little while once the glucose levels were under control and she started insulin. They also had given her a more stronger antibiotic for her ear infections. Which was her third kind of antibiotic, no fourth I think.
When they get bad, we have to wipe them out with cotton balls or q-tips. Sometimes we need to put medication in the ears as well. She absolutely hates all of it. But she also knows she will get a treat at the end of it. She used to fight it but now has just resigned herself to it having to be done, but she does complain the whole time.
If/when you have to do his ears, you could try wrapping him up in a towel like a burrito, the vet told us to try that if we needed to. Just leave his head out and the rest of his body is wrapped up in the towel.
We’ve tried the tying up in a burrito. He struggles in that, too! I’m hoping we won’t have to do too much to his ears. Just getting him his meds is a struggle!
I totally get that. Bitter has been mostly compliant with things. So has Jack when he had his difficulties. But we've got others what fight every step of the way even if it is just flea prevention on their scruff! LOL
Best of luck, it sounds as if things are turning around. It's never easy with our pets, who don't live long enough in the first place. I hope the positive trends continue for a very long time!
Sending all sorts of love to you and Simba.
Thank you! 💕

Thank you, Laura 💕 In most situations, I end up turning to art. It grounds me & brings me some peace when I’m struggling.
